Lucy Smith, MSc MIET FIMA, Senior ILS Engineer,Thales UK
Lucy Smith is a Senior ILS Engineer at Thales UK, where she leads the lifecycle modelling working group, developing and sharing best practice in modelling across Thales UK.  Since beginning her career in Integrated Logistics Support in 2016, with previous experience at Leonardo and BAE Systems, she specialises in lifecycle modelling and supportability analysis for defence projects in the Naval and Air domains.
Quincy van Iersel, ILS Engineer, Damen Naval
Quincy is an LCC Specialist at Damen Naval. He holds a B.Eng. in Aviation and an M.Sc. in Data Science. Combining his technical expertise with a passion for optimization and analytics, Quincy supports Damen Naval’s projects in achieving efficient and cost-effective lifecycle management. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling across the country.
Frida Johansson, PM Logistics Engineering, Saab Sweden
Frida holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from Linköping University. She has been with Saab since 2012, working within Logistics Analysis and, in recent years, serving as Project Manager in Logistics Engineering.
Victor Hjort, Logistics Analyst, Saab Sweden
Victor holds a Master of Science in Quantitative Logistics from Linköping University. He has been with Saab since 2018, working in Logistics Analysis with a specialization in Opus Suite modelling.

Rémy Tarnaud, Availability Engineer & Commitment Modeler, Thales LAS France
Thales engineer since 2013, initially focusing on reliability feedback for the Rafale fighter. Rémy first worked with OPUS suite in 2017, modeling Rafale subsystems, and since 2019, he has been leading the modeling of military and civilian systems for the Land and Air Systems Thales business unit.

Paul attended an engineering school specializing in RAMT studies. After graduating in 2022, I joined Thales, where I was able to work with the OPUS suite right from the start. Since then, he has been working on modeling civil and military systems for the Land and Air Systems Thales business unit.

Thomas Espelund Pedersen, Chief Consultant, DALO


Thomas is an engineer specializing in operations analysis, mathematical modeling, and technology management. He earned his Ph.D. at the Danish Defence Research Establishment, focusing on statistics of statistical models for maintenance planning. For the past 18 years, Thomas has worked at the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO), where he has been engaged in life cycle cost analysis, life cycle management, logistics planning, acquisitions, and contracting. He has also contributed extensively to NATO initiatives, serving on various Research and Technology working groups, as Denmark’s representative to the NATO Life Cycle Management Group for over 15 years, and as chairman of the annual NATO Life Cycle Management Conference for several years.

Shaun Green, Principal Supportability Engineer, Leonardo UK
Shaun Green is a Principal Supportability Engineer at Leonardo UK. A former member of the Royal Air Force, he gained hands-on experience across all maintenance levels, from component replacement to NATO cross-training and supporting USAF F-111 operations. After leaving the Air Force, Shaun spent 18 years at BAE Systems as a Supportability Engineer, developing broad expertise across all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) disciplines and later serving as Lead Modeller, assessing and analysing both manned and unmanned conceptual platforms. At Leonardo UK, he now supports multiple programmes across different phases of the life cycle, sharing his knowledge and understanding developed over a varied career in supportability.
Justin Woulfe, Chief Technology Officer ,Systecon North America
Justin is the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Systecon North America, where he leads efforts in predictive analytics, systems engineering, and cost-effective logistics optimization for the aerospace and defense sector. With more than 20 years of experience, Justin has built a career around helping organizations balance cost, capability, and readiness across complex acquisition and sustainment programs.

Day 1 (22 October) will be the Panel Discussion – Insights & Challenges, Perspectives & Practices from Across the Field. This session brings together diverse expertise and viewpoints from across the defense and industry landscape:
