27th Naval Workshop - Event Highlights

The 27th DWT Marine Workshop will focus on the theme “The Maritime Combat – Drivers for Research, Armament and Usage”. Across keynote and plenary presentations, the program explores how maritime combat requirements should guide research priorities, naval armament strategies, and operational use. 

With 30 posters presented in two sessions, participants gain targeted insights into emerging technologies, lifecycle management challenges, and operational concepts. A high-level panel discussion will bring together keynote speakers to debate strategic implications, while the concluding fishbowl session engages navy, defence authorities, and industry in open dialogue. 

This year’s workshop emphasizes the importance of aligning technical feasibility with operational necessity to secure naval readiness. Under the patronage of Rear Admiral Christoph Müller-Meinhard, the event remains the central platform for exchanging ideas on Germany’s maritime research and capability development.
