Systecon participates in the National Aviation Engineering Research Programme NFFP6

15 October 2013

Systecon has been assigned funding from the National Aviation Engineering Research Programme NFFP6.

Systecon AB will in cooperation with SAAB and Luleå University of Technology (LUT) develop methods for cost-effective spares supply and strategies. The objective is to develop decision support tools for reuse of spare parts and components from aircrafts that have been phased out from a remaining fleet, and that way reduce need for additional spares acquisition and increase the total system availability. The work will include design of optimization and simulation routines and implementation of those in a prototype for demonstration. The work will be carried out until 2017 and organized as a project managed by SAAB.

The National Aviation Engineering Research Programme (NFFP) is managed by Sweden s innovation agency VINNOVA in cooperation with the Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration. NFFP was initiated 1994 and has been carried out in several steps. A new thing in the current step, NFFP6, is the possibility for small and medium size companies (SME) to apply. This made it possible for Systecon to apply together with SAAB and LUT.
