The recent establishment of Systecon North America strengthens and consolidates our representation in the U.S. Through increased cooperation with WPI Services, our representative in the US since 2012, they now start operating under the brand Systecon.

By building a common brand identity we hope to achieve faster results in by far the world’s largest defense market. This decision is both a natural and strategic step for Systecon in this important market. Our American colleagues have quickly developed the competence and capacity when it comes to Opus Suite. They are offering our North American market complete customer support including education, training and helpdesk as well as qualified modelling and analysis support. The new setup gives us a good platform to continue developing the US market together.

By combining a unique knowledge of our customers, experienced analysts, and flawless customer support with world recognized tools and reach back to Systecon we provide our customers with a capability that is unmatched by any other firm,” says Justin Woulfe, Vice President for Systecon North America.

Systecon North America has, among other activities, been involved in a project with the US Navy’s F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program. The role has been to model, simulate and op-timize different scenarios and find ways to cut operational and maintenance costs (see press release). In connection with this project, the US Navy Air Systems Command recently purchased an enterprise license for Opus Suite. Systecon North America has subsequently helped to integrate Opus Suite as a calculation engine in two large but separate IT solutions for the US Navy.

In general, we are experiencing a growing interest as a result of Department of Defense’s initiative to increase cost effectiveness, Better Buying Power, which has been implemented in the US in recent years. In addition, WPI Services/Systecon North America has made a major effort to promote Opus Suite and the benefits that can be gained from the decision-making support generated by the software. The application of Opus Suite in the F-35 program has meant challenging the limits of the tool suite and proving its capability to handle large complex cases. For us it is an important reference in the US market, and it is also a strong benchmark as the US Navy selected Opus Suite after a thorough evaluation of the other solutions available on the market.

Previous renowned Opus Suite users in North America include Boeing, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, CAE, Heli-One, Raytheon and Textron.

Systecon North America expects to grow quickly as the company’s tools and service be-come standard within more companies and industries. We expect the workforce to double within the next few years. Systecon North American has offices in Washington, DC, Juno Beach, Florida and Lakewood, Colorado.
